At Fandarama, we love working on projects where design and user experience are not only seen, but felt.
Our work with Caro Hotel in Valencia was exactly that: creating a clear, intuitive environmental comfort experience, designed for both guests and the hotel team.
From the idea to the name
Before tackling the interface, we asked ourselves a fundamental question: how to communicate something as intangible as wellbeing. How to turn that feeling into a concept that made sense for those who enjoy it and for those who manage it.
From that came Caro Vitals, a name that conveys life, care and energy. From it, we defined the entire user experience: the way the data is presented, the visual narrative and the tone of the interactions. A system designed to communicate comfort naturally.
An interface for guests and staff
The challenge was to design an experience that worked effortlessly for guests and, at the same time, was useful and practical for the hotel staff.
Guests can check their Comfort Index in real time and understand how their environment is adjusted. The hotel team, meanwhile, receives clear, actionable information to maintain the balance of the space. Each indicator, alert and interaction was designed so that technology fulfils its purpose without being intrusive, resulting in a sensory, intuitive and transparent experience.
Identity, naming and UX/UI in a single project
Caro Vitals shows how experience design can create sensations, anticipate needs and build a narrative that is coherent with a project’s identity. A piece of work in which identity, naming and UX/UI came together to offer both the hotel and its guests a comfortable, intuitive and memorable experience.
